Overlaying concrete with Thin Pavers : Remodeling Pavers

HOw To Overlay concrete with pavers

When deciding to overlay your existing concrete area with pavers you need to determine if your original surface is in good enough shape. Any major issues, like large cracks will compromise the newly laid pavers and therefore is not suggested.

Secondly, you will need to apply a layer of bedding sand between the pavers and the concrete base. Next, you will want to place holes at low spots to help drain the water that can seep through the joints - allowing it to escape.

Lastly, you will want to make sure you place either a concrete or plastic edger around the installed thin pavers to allow for minimal shifting and moving.
