Protect Your Paver Driveway Before Colder Weather Arrives
We only have a handful of December cleaning & sealing openings left before winter temperatures slow commercial sealer curing—plus priority placement now open for our Spring 2027 schedule.
What Happens to Unsealed Pavers Over a Lowcountry Winter
Concrete and brick pavers are naturally porous. Leaving a driveway or patio unsealed heading into winter exposes bare stone and sand joints right when guest parking, leaf drop, and winter rain hit hardest.
-
Driveway Protection
Repels Oil, Grease & Tire Marks
Shields your driveway from holiday guest vehicles, delivery trucks, and oil drips before they soak permanently into unsealed pavers.
-
Stain & Mildew Defense
Blocks Live-Oak Leaf Tannins
Prevents brown oak leaves, pine needles, acorns, and shaded winter moisture from leaving stubborn organic stains and mildew.
-
Structural Stability
Locks Joint Sand in Place
Hardens and stabilizes joint sand so heavy winter storms don’t wash out joints, loosen pavers, or invite early spring weeds and ants.
-
Curb Appeal
Restores Faded Stone Color
Lifts dull surface haze and revives the rich multi-tone blend of your pavers so your entrance looks freshly installed again.
Want your driveway protected before holiday traffic and winter rain? Grab one of our remaining December openings—or lock in priority Spring 2027 placement.
Done Right by Hardscape Specialists—Not a Splash-and-Dash Pressure Wash
Improper pressure washing blasts out joint sand and traps white haze under cheap coatings. Our crews prep and seal pavers using the same standards behind 6,000+ Lowcountry installations.
-
Step 01
Deep Surface & Efflorescence Prep
Commercial rotary cleaning and targeted treatments lift embedded dirt, algae, leaf stains, and chalky efflorescence haze without etching your pavers.
-
Step 02
Joint Sand Replenishment
Once clean, joints are inspected and dressed with clean sand where needed so every paver locks tight and sheds water properly.
-
Step 03
Weather-Timed Sealer Application
We apply commercial-grade breathable sealer only within proper temperature and moisture windows for a deep, long-lasting cure.

Lowcountry Paver Cleaning & Sealing FAQs
Will you clean and seal my paver driveway if another contractor installed it?
Yes. Many of the driveways and patios we clean and seal across Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Beaufort, and Savannah came with the home or were installed by another builder. We inspect your existing pavers and joints first so we can recommend the safest cleaning and sealing plan.
Who cleans and seals pavers in Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, and Savannah?
American Paving Design provides commercial-grade paver cleaning, joint sand replenishment, and Natural Look or Wet Look sealing across Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Beaufort, Okatie, Savannah, Pooler, and Richmond Hill. Based at 49 Pennington Drive in Bluffton, SC since 2009 with 6,000+ completed Lowcountry hardscape projects, our in-house crews service both APD installations and existing paver driveways, patios, and pool decks.
What is the difference between Natural Look and Wet Look paver sealer?
Natural Look sealer penetrates concrete, brick, and travertine pavers for invisible stain, oil, and moisture protection while preserving the stone’s original matte architectural color—often preferred by Lowcountry HOAs and architectural review boards. Wet Look sealer deepens stone color richness and multi-tone contrast with a subtle low-sheen finish and added surface defense on high-traffic driveways.
Why are there only a few fall and December spots left?
Commercial-grade paver sealers require mild daytime and overnight temperatures plus dry stone to penetrate deeply and cure clear. Once sustained winter cold snaps move in, we pause seasonal sealing rather than risk an uneven bond—and resume full-scale sealing in early spring.
My pavers were just installed recently. How long should I wait before sealing?
We recommend waiting at least 60 days after new paver installation so natural moisture and efflorescence (a temporary whitish mineral haze) can escape before sealing. If your project was installed recently, reserving priority placement on our Spring 2027 schedule is the ideal move.
How often should pavers be cleaned and resealed in the Lowcountry?
Most Lowcountry driveways and patios benefit from professional cleaning and resealing every 2 to 3 years depending on sun exposure, live-oak tree cover, and vehicle traffic—though annual maintenance is completely safe for high-traffic entrances.
Which communities do your cleaning and sealing crews serve?
Our crews serve South Carolina (Bluffton, Palmetto Bluff, Belfair, Berkeley Hall, Colleton River, Hampton Hall, Hampton Lake, Sun City, Hilton Head Island, Okatie, Beaufort, Lady’s Island, Port Royal, and Ridgeland) and Coastal Georgia (Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill, Rincon, Wilmington Island, Skidaway Island, and Tybee Island).
