Bluffton is home base for American Paving Design. On Hilton Head Island we specialize in travertine and paver pool decks, driveways and patios built for salt air, sandy soil and storm season, and we work within the architectural review process in Sea Pines, Palmetto Dunes and the island's other plantations. What's the same in every area we serve

  • A deep, compacted base. Every project gets crushed-stone base compacted in layers, typically 6 to 8 inches under driveways. Why base preparation matters.
  • Drainage planned before we dig, so rain flows away from your home instead of pooling on your pavers.
  • HOA and ARB support. For a small additional fee, we can prepare your ARB paperwork, including site plans, product specs and color samples.
  • Showroom and computer design drawings. Visit our showroom and see your project in a computer-generated design drawing before we build.
  • A written estimate that lists excavation depth, base, edge restraint, products and warranty.
  • Our 2-year workmanship warranty.
  • Owner-led. Owner Tim Niemiec oversees all of our operations.

Do you help with HOA and ARB approvals?

Yes. Many Lowcountry communities, including Palmetto Bluff, Sea Pines, Palmetto Dunes and Kiawah Island, require architectural review before hardscape work. For a small additional fee, we can prepare your ARB paperwork.
